On their way to their rst job at Norwich, they pulled over when spotting a car on re. They were the rst to arrive to the scene and quickly grabbed a re extinguisher from their van. They saved the car from raging ames and the member of the public was incredibly grateful for their help.Joshua Hammerton(Engineer)Helping a member of the public during a medical emergencyWe received a call from a member of the public who had collapsed on the road when Josh was working within the area. He quickly aided her and refused to move until she had been taken care of by the paramedics.She wanted to thank Josh for his help as he stayed by her side the whole time, he also supplied his kneel mat for her to lie on whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive. She also thanked his supervisor Darryn for helping and allowing Joshua to stay with her. She stated she felt safe when they were with her and doesnt know what would have happened if Josh wasnt there on that day. She had to spend 5 days in hospital after the incident and currently has been diagnosed with a life-threatening condition (sleep apnoea) and is now aware that shes prone to collapse randomly. A huge well done to Josh for his highly commendable act and thank you to Darryn for accommodating time for Josh to support a member of his local community during a medical emergency. This March, a very determined Sebastian, swam an incredible 5 Km, raising funds in support of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity. Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and around 600 children and young people from across the UK arrive for life-changing treatments.
