A reverse advent calendar was introduced to ensure a wide variety of donations were received by each collection point. We were delighted to have foodbank collection points at 5 key depots nationwide: Glasgow, Nuneaton, Dunstable, Wembley and Brimsdown. A huge well done to our local representatives, Laura Eliot, Molly Callow, Amy Lee, Holly Fox, Kelly Pritchard, Kezia Reid, Kinga Vagany and Carol OShea for supporting the initiative and delivering goods to local foodbanks.The response was fantastic as collectively our workforce donated a large number of boxes for food banks across the nation - deliveries of your generous donations have already made their way to local collection points. What happens to your donations? Foodbanksprovideaminimumof3daysofnutritionallybalanced emergency food packs alongside additional support for families. All non-perishable and in-date food will be organised into emergency food parcels by more than 28,000 volunteers who will send these packs to families in crisis. Christmas is supposed to be a time for joy and celebrationbut for too many people its becoming increasingly difficult, with more people than ever expected to need to use a food bank during the festive period.
