b'MOVEMBER 2022Essex Season Ender Cycle Our Movember charity cycle ride was meant todeliver a cycling event for our riders to co-inside take place in Windsor during the summer. Duewith our 2022 Movember campaign. We were to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. and thedelighted to enter 5 riders into this years Essex procession route through the city of Windsor,Season Ender Bike Ride Event, where cyclists this event was unfortunately cancelled. Takinghad the choice to complete a 42-mile classic the significant amount of funds and fundraisingroute or take on the epic challenge of a 72-mile effortbyourcycleteam,intoconsideration;route.the marketing team came up with a solution to Team Captain Howard Campbell said:I didnt manage to get out on the bike much since September. Im a fair-weather rider so I dont feel the urge to cycle in the wet. I continued with my normal Spin Classes 2 to 3 times a week, but I really needed to get out on the bike more. Nothing to compare to hitting those real lung-bursting hills to achieve thigh burn.CompletingacyclingeventduringMovember has again raised awareness of issues concerning Mens Health. I know my little bit will help with Movembers mission.DuringourcyclerideonSunday6thNov,the weatherwasATROCIOUSLYBRUTALand BRUTALLY ATROCIOUS! We hadnt even started the ride before being soaked through. At times I was unable to see the bike in front which was no less than a bike length ahead. The rain came down heavy from above and was recycled into my face from the wheels below. Roads were flooded! I soon found it best to ride through the middle of the flooded road to avoid unseen potholes. I hit one quite hard within the first 10 miles. How I didnt get a puncture only the tyre gods know. At this point, Id just like to repeat Im a fair-weather rider It was tough for all of us. Due to our different I had the choice to head off on the 42-mile routestarting times, I couldnt ride with the rest of the at the split, however, I decided to continue on theteam, but we all went through the same conditions. 72-mile I committed to. The organisers said due toAsaTeam,weshouldbeveryproudofour weather conditions there was no problem changingachievement.but I needed to lose weight, so in for a penny, inAndreea, Reece, Joe and Jack - we all did massively for a pound (lb). well to complete the event and deserve a huge WELL DONE!18 .The Networker Winter 2022'
