Kelly Rail are looking for committed and dedicated project managers to join our Project team nationwide to deliver lineside Civils & Telecoms on the Rail infrastructure
In your role you will be responsible for:
• Leading allocated tasks effectively, through planning, allocation, and reporting of work in order to ensure successful delivery of the project/ plan.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and the achievement of the Project’s objectives.
• Maintain accountability for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the programme. Anticipate and manage dependencies, risk, and opportunities in support of increase business performance.
• Attend client consultative meetings and site visits where required, ensuring that best practices and industry innovation is applied.
• Production and issuing customer progress reports
• Review and approve key supplier inputs.
• Monitor and control of all activities and costs, defining and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborating and engage with other departments within the business where relevant.
• Prepare and maintain contract risk and opportunity plans and manage the associated contingency budgets.
• Develop and maintain key relationships with the customer and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure all employees, including suppliers have the appropriate rail/safety clearance to undertake activities at the customer facilities.
Essential Experience
• Project Management qualifications such as APMP or Prince 2.
• Experience of project and risk management.
• Excellent understanding of NWR rules and guidelines for work lineside.
• Experience of delivering lineside civils & telecoms projects.
• Ability to analyse schedule, cost data for impending difficulties, and clearly communicate to the Project Manager/Operations Manager.
• Management experience covering financial, commercial, engineering and project areas within the rail sector.
• Knowledge of NEC 3 contract management.
• Experience working within an engineering environment review and interpret technical information / engineering drawings.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills both written & oral.
• Experience of working within strict deadlines & to budget.
• Understand schedule interfaces & dependencies to produce various key milestones to be submitted for acceptance.
• Ability to work under own initiative and drive to deliver results.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload according to others’ needs, whilst managing conflicting workloads & priorities
• You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude in all the work you deliver, ensuring it meets the needs of current and potential customers.
• You will have experience and appetite for self-development.

Desirable Experience
• HNC/ HND / Degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience in rail and industrial control systems.
