The Kelly Group are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our growing team, specializing in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) networks. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and scalability in our FTTP infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement FTTP network solutions and ensure the smooth installation and activation of fiber broadband services for residential and business customers.
Perform in-depth network troubleshooting, optimization, and performance monitoring to ensure continuous network reliability and service quality.
Lead the fault identification and resolution process for FTTP-related issues, working closely with field teams and other engineering groups.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and field teams, ensuring best practices in network deployment and maintenance.
Maintain and upgrade FTTP network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and configuration management.
Ensure that FTTP network installations and maintenance adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, troubleshooting processes, and operational procedures.
Stay current with the latest developments in FTTP technologies and contribute to the optimization of network performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including project management and operations) to support ongoing network activities and improvements.
Assist in the testing, validation, and integration of new network equipment and solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in FTTP network implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with at least 5+ years in a senior engineering role.
Strong understanding of optical fiber technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, etc.), optical network equipment, and fiber splicing techniques.
Hands-on experience with FTTP network equipment, including ONTs (Optical Network Terminals), OLTs (Optical Line Terminals), and optical fibers.
In-depth knowledge of FTTP network testing, validation, and troubleshooting tools and methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
