Experienced Pre Enablement Engineers - Virgin Media

We're expanding our Virgin Media delivery team and are looking for experienced Pre-Enablement Engineers to help prepare and maintain the network that keeps customers connected. If you have experience in telecoms, fibre, cabling, civils, or network build activities and enjoy working in a hands-on field-based environment, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Pre-Enablement Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring network infrastructure is ready for customer installations by carrying out essential preparation, maintenance, and network assurance activities across the Virgin Media network.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out network pre-enablement and preparation activities
• Installing, maintaining, and replacing network infrastructure equipment
• Pulling and proving fibre and coaxial cables through underground duct networks
• Clearing blockages and identifying network defects
• Working within footways, carriageways, cabinets, chambers, and customer access areas
• Conducting network quality checks and remedial works
• Using specialist tooling and civils equipment safely and effectively
• Accurately recording completed work using handheld technology
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced engineers who have worked within telecoms network build, pre-enablement, civils, fibre, copper, or utility infrastructure environments.

• Previous pre-enablement, telecoms, network build, civils, fibre, or utility experience
• Experience working within underground network infrastructure
• Strong understanding of network quality standards and safe working practices
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Confident using handheld devices and digital job management systems
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Full UK manual driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months (maximum 6 points)
