Commercial Solar PV Programme Manager

GGRS Energie, part of the Kelly Group, is a rapidly growing commercial renewable energy contractor delivering large-scale solar PV and battery storage installations across the UK.

Due to continued growth, we’re looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Solar PV Programme Manager to take ownership of our commercial delivery programme, overseeing projects from design through to commissioning and handover.

The Role:

This is a senior operational role responsible for delivering multiple commercial solar PV and battery storage projects simultaneously.

You’ll manage programmes from initial survey and design through procurement, planning, installation, commissioning and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with our design, commercial and installation teams, you’ll become a key part of the business and help shape future delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple commercial solar PV and battery storage projects simultaneously.
• Programme planning and resource allocation.
• Review technical designs, layouts and installation proposals.
• Review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable calculations and protection coordination.
• Review MPPT layouts, string designs and inverter configurations.
• Liaise with DNOs, ICPs, clients and consultants.
• Manage procurement and material schedules.
• Produce and review RAMS, CPPs and construction documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and internal installation teams.
• Monitor programme costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671, MCS, G99, G100 and current industry standards.
• Carry out site visits, quality inspections and progress meetings.
• Manage project commissioning and client handover.
• Drive continual improvement across the business.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience managing commercial solar PV projects.
• Strong electrical background.
• Experience with commercial inverters and battery storage.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and SLDs.
• Good understanding of cable sizing, protection and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of G99/G100 applications.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and client-facing ability.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience:

• HNC/HND or equivalent electrical qualification.
• SMSTS or SSSTS.
• IOSH or NEBOSH.
• 18th Edition.
• Inspection & Testing.
• AutoCAD and/or OpenSolar experience.
• Experience with utility-scale battery storage.
• Knowledge of commercial energy management systems.
