Business Development Manager

Kelly Rail is a principal contractor to all major UK Rail industry service providers. We are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager.

In your role you will be responsible for:

• Serve as a member of the Kelly Rail Senior Management Team
• Responsible for attracting new business across Rail, Metro and Energy divisions
• Responsible for all client aspects on all projects
• Responsible for ensuring that a good constant pipeline of orders is available
• Responsible for ensuring correct Client interfacing takes place on all projects
• Liaise with the Operation Directors / Senior Managers and appropriate site staff to ensure the right type of work is chased and won
• Work with the Operation Directors / Senior Managers to ensure that projects won are delivered to the exact clients’ specifications
• Work with the Operation Directors / Senior Managers to ensure that change management processes to capture change are enforced on all projects
• Work with the Operation Directors / Senior Managers to set the business targets and KPI levels for Managers as requested by the clients
• Ensure that projects targeted are in accordance with company systems and procedures
• Ensure a process is in place to monitor and audit all projects successful or not
• Ensure that all client tasks are dealt with in a timely, well presented and accurate manner.
• Responsible for reporting on and updating of industry news
• Raising the company profile
• Suggesting new projects and diversifying into new markets
• Identifying key accounts
• Following up on client leads
• Selling all of our products and services

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:

• Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Proven and demonstrable track record
• 5 years plus experience in the Rail industry with extensive key contacts
• Experience in Managing People
• Well-developed client facing skills with a client orientated approach
• Commercially astute
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to work within a team
• Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, Organisational & Planning Skills
• Able to balance competing priorities and meet personal targets within a fluctuating & demanding workload
