I joined Kelly Group in 2001 working my way through different Manager Roles for Installations/Back Office Controls. Before my time with The Group, I worked for another telecommunication company where I gained experience and knowledge of our industry which I can still apply to my responsibilities as Systems Manager overseeing our web developer team within the IT department.
My career journey is quite unique in the IT world as I only joined our IT department 10 years ago with no prior experience in the field however, due to the skills and knowledge I developed while working on the operational side of the business ensures my focus is on understanding client requirements deeply to ensure our technology solutions are not only cutting edge but also user-friendly for our workforce.
In my role, I manage the development team and organize their workload. I handle debugging, ensuring the correct functionality of our products. Liaising with departments and client IT teams, especially regarding API connections and system updates, is a key aspect. All our internal systems are bespoke designed by our developers enabling us to completely accommodate any client requirements within short timescales, which gives us a competitive edge within the industry.
I enjoy challenges and the diversity of my role continuously presents challenges and deadlines as our team strives to continue providing not just innovative solutions and updates for our internal systems, but also a user-friendly interface for our workforce. While working on these technologies, we ensure that throughout the development process, the safety of our digital environment is at the forefront of everything we do.
