Safety Tips of The Month – Look Ahead and Anticipate
Avoid focusing solely on the vehicle at the front and your mirrors. Observe what is happening past your immediate driving environment. One of the main reasons behind road incidents is the failure to recognise possible hazards within the driver environment. Look at the furthest point possible and anticipate what is happening on the road while observing other road users’ driving behaviour.
Introducing Paul Kingham – The Elite Driver's Club November Monthly Winner
Paul started his journey with Kelly Group as a Commercial Networks Engineer in 2013. Due to his exceptional work ethic and dedication, 18 months later he was promoted to Business Supervisor and currently is responsible for managing a group of engineers, completing stock control and auditing.
Paul said:
“I was shocked when I found out I won the monthly £1000 prize – a brilliant way to start the new year! What I enjoy the most about my job is spending most of my time in the field with engineers. My role isn’t office-based. Due to the nature of my role, I could end up driving 4000 miles a month. I’ve been working with my local team for several years and we all consider safe driving extremely important. When the Group launched the Elite Drivers Club, we were proud to see our company taking important steps to promote safe driving – the prizes and goodie bags encourage us all to aim to become Elite Drivers. Don’t rush; plan your day so there won’t be a reason to rush between jobs. All you have to do to join the Elite Drivers Club is keep to speed limits.”
