27-09-2023
Sunday, 3rd September 2023, saw the 11th annual, London Irish Vintage Charity Day held at Tir Chonaill Park, organised by The London Irish Vintage Club.
Kelly Group was delighted to support this year’s event, which since its inception in 2011, has raised an incredible £852,000 for good causes (excluding 2023).
The goal of this charity day is to raise awareness and vital funds for local charitable causes and amplify the tireless, hard work each foundation does to give back to the community. Each year sees four charities nominated that support local communities within the surrounding area and donations are split equally to support each important cause. This year’s charity day has supported: Aisling Centre, BIAS, St Joseph’s Hospice and Wetwheels (Hamble).
The day saw an excellent line-up of artists entertaining attendees throughout the day including Tom Power, Hungry Grass, Slim Attraction and the Irish country music sensation – Derek Ryan.
Organiser Brendan ‘Tiny’ Vaughan extended his thanks to the Irish community for all their generous support over the past 10 years.
He said: “It very much is a team effort and the LIVC was thankful to all the companies and individuals who came together to make the event possible.”
The Group was delighted to host this year’s event sponsors, artists, and guests within our Kelly Group hospitality bar and Family Fun Day activities, positioned adjacent to the main stage and welcomed hundreds of guests throughout the day. The setup featured a 6-meter vintage bar, a beer garden, circus tent with entertainment throughout the day, a magician, food trucks, inflatable games, mini digger experience, our 1983 CF 250 Bedford van and many more activities. During the evening, The Hungry Grass band and Slim Attractions provided excellent entertainment for our guests with a private performance inside our Kelly Group Sponsor’s Bar.
