With many of your favourite activities, alongside a wide range of new events, we saw phenomenal fundraising efforts from 100s of our Kelly Group family, up and down the country. As we saw this year’s fundraising activities coming to an end, we are immensely proud to share, that our nationwide workforce has raised an amazing £5000 in support of Movember’s mission.
Kelly Group has recognised the drive and dedication of our 14 Movember Workplace Ambassadors and the extraordinary nationwide fundraising efforts of our workforce. Live on stage, at our 2023 Christmas celebrations held at the Hilton Hotel Wembley, Rosita Westropp-Bennett (Kelly Group Vice Chair & Finance Director) announced the Group would double every pound raised during our 2023 fundraising campaign. This extremely generous donation from Kelly Group, brings our grand total to an incredible £10,000. A huge thank you to the Group for supporting our men’s health 2023 charity project.
On Tuesday, 7th November, we took some time out to welcome our Movember Corporate Partnerships Manager, James Wildsmith to our virtual men’s health talk.
James delivered an informative talk covering areas including the charity’s history and why they exist, background on their three causes and how they are taking action when it comes to facing Prostate cancer, Testicular cancer, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention head on, and how our support will have an impact on men’s health globally.
This was a fantastic interactive session where participants had the opportunity to ask questions or share personal experiences on the above subject matters.
This virtual event was available for the group’s workforce to join individually or as a group from pre-booked locations hosted by our Kelly Group Movember Workplace Ambassadors.
James has introduced us to a wide range of amazing resources funded by generous donations over the years which are all available for FREE via the official Movember website.
Fundraising Activities Throughout Movember 2023
During our Movember 2023 campaign, our 14 workplace ambassadors were busy organising and hosting a variety of different fundraising activities across the country including Pay Up to Dress Down (offices), Freedom Fridays (offices), cultivate a moustache, group walks, raffling luxurious hampers and many more. Here’s a highlight of some of the activities from our 2023 campaign.
Carve the Crown: Helmet Decorating Competition (Nuneaton)
Our Nuneaton Ambassadors hosted an excellent competition challenging creative minds with a helmet decorating competition. A huge congratulations to our winners Richard Pattison and Allan Usher from the City Fibre Hub Support Team.
Shave Down (Glasgow)
On the 1st December 2023, Andy Jnr. McCombe, took on the brave the challenge and volunteered to have his legs, back and chest waxed in front of his office colleagues in exchange of donations. A huge well done to Andy!
Weekly Quiz (Nuneaton)
During Movember, the Nuneaton office hosted a weekly quiz testing people’s knowledge of different topics each week. A huge shout out to all the winners:

Movember Bake Sales (Nationwide)
Kelly Group was delighted to host a nationwide bake sale on Monday, 20th November 2023 calling all our excellent bakers to take part in our Movember bake sale. We saw an array of tasty treats as some of the more experienced bakers even decorated their goods with Movember moustaches. A huge well done to all our workplace ambassadors for organising and to all our bakers for supporting the campaign.
Darts Tournament (Glasgow)
Our Glasgow office participated in a month-long darts tournament organised in their local office by Laura Elliot. A huge congratulations to Andy McCombe on being crowned as the darts champion.
Movember Football Tournament 2023
Our highly anticipated 2023 Kelly Group 5-a-side Movember Football Tournament took place on Friday, 17th November at Powerleague, Mill Hill, London. With 8 teams travelling from across the nation, we had 70+ players including office staff, directors, field engineers and managers, all eager to be crowned our next Kelly Group Champions at kick-off.
On the day of the event, teams were divided into two divisions across multiple pitches with appointed professional referees ensuring all matches were played fairly and safely.
With 5 hours of collective match play and a few minor injuries, we’re delighted to announce that our 2023 Kelly Group 5-a-side Movember Football Tournament Champions are The Mutt’s Nuts. A huge congratulations to our champions!

“I was really looking forward to being a football captain this year and get a team together from the Southeast. I have been involved in fundraising activities before and was delighted to have the opportunity to support an excellent cause again.
I met a couple of men who have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in the last few years and it has been tough to see what they have gone through. Therefore, I was keen to fundraise and participate in a Movember event. I think we; men often feel embarrassed to talk or share our feelings and I hope that raising awareness with events like our Movember Football Tournament will help more men come forward and speak up if they’re struggling.
I cannot lie, we arrived with a champion’s mentality on the tournament day, and we’re absolutely buzzing to have won the tournament - it was superb. And I think we surprised a lot of people!
Thank you to the organisers and hosts as it was a fantastic event. Also, a big thanks to my team, Josh Taylor, Callum Fidler, Jordon Saunders, Lorenc Perlesha, Matthew Barbosa and Kayne Summers. The Mutts Nuts will be back next year!”

Free Men’s Health Resources
Testicular Cancer and Prostate Cancer
Nuts and Bolts (Testicular cancer) and True North (Prostate Cancer) are two interactive online tools that have everything you need to know from: what the cancers are, the signs and symptoms to spot, how to perform a self-examination or speak to a GP about a PSA test, guidance with managing the symptoms of treatment and support services. These tools can be used by men going through cancer, as well as their loved ones and caregivers, to ensure they have a solid foundation of support.
Mental Health
Movember Conversations is a free online tool designed to help you feel more confident in reaching out and having a conversation with a friend or colleague who may be struggling. Movember launched this tool during lockdown last year to help the Movember community, and a recent survey of users found that 94% of respondents felt that they learned new skills and information as a result of experiencing the tool.
Family Man has been developed by Movember alongside leading global child behaviour experts. It’s backed by evidence-based parenting strategies that actually work which they’ve tested with hundreds of families. It’s especially helpful for kids 2 to 8 but can be used outside this age range. Family Man has recommendations for correcting misbehaviour, while reinforcing love and care.
Movember has an official YouTube channel which showcases a range of informative videos about the work they do within the mental health space and a breakdown of the different signs to look out for with someone who may be struggling eg.: Our work in mental health & Spot the signs.
