Kelly Group is delighted to announce their plans for a national recruitment campaign, supporting Openreach with their continued effort in building and connecting customers to its new, Ultrafast Full Fibre broadband network.
Today (Friday 18th December 2020) Openreach announced it was bucking the prevailing economic trend by creating 5,300 new UK-based engineering jobs, to be filled during 2021.

We’re also investing in thousands of UK-based jobs in our supply chain and we’re determined to tackle the long-standing lack of gender diversity across our sector, specifically in our engineering teams."
Kelly Group has a long standing relationship with Openreach as one of their key national partners, thus this announcement positively impacts the opportunities we have available within the group.
As a result we’ll be soon be recruiting for our new apprentice scheme to find the next generation of Splicers, Cablers and Management for this project. We are currently recruiting for the following roles:
- Fibre Splicers
- Overhead and Underground Cabling Crews
- Fibre and Cabling Managers
Ensuring all new recruits are set up for success, we’ll coach and develop trainees from our multi discipline nationwide training centres, including our new state-of-the-art National Training Centre in North London.
With over 50+ training programs covered, our bespoke approach to training by our qualified in house training team, will ensure each operative has the skills and knowledge to maintain our reputation in delivering a first class service.
