We’re delighted to announce Kelly Group recently won Highly Commended at this year’s Considerate Contractor Awards. This prestigious award was presented to Brian Harnett (Managing Director, Kelly Communications) and Adrian O’Donoghue (City of London Project Manager, Kelly Group) by The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Vincent Keaveny.
The City of London Corporation launched the Considerate Contractor Scheme in 1994 with a goal in mind: to challenge contractors to work in a safe and considerate manner; in harmony with pedestrians, road users and key companies to enable the operation of a world leading financial centre, The City of London. Those contractors who strive for the best industry standards are awarded annually with a “Gold Award”.
Kelly Technical Services Ltd was amongst the first companies to be awarded a Gold Award for a project with COLT and MFSC within the Square Mile. The Group has continued to build on that success and to this day has an excellent working relationship with the City of London Corporation. The City is a very challenging place to work in but we are continuously thriving on current projects in partnership with Verizon, Virgin Media and Openreach.
Kelly Group has managed to win a Gold or Highly Commended Award every year since the inception of the scheme including this year. We are very proud of this achievement considering the brands we were up against for the award, which demonstrate the effectiveness of our efforts to become the best within the industry.
The Group organises regular meetings with the City of London Corporation’s NRSWA team and the City of London Police where we look at the schedule of works in depth and with a combined effort establish a plan on how the work will be carried out in a safe and effective manner.
Kelly Group is looking forward to completing more projects considering the local environment we work in and hoping to be successful in the Awards Scheme for many years to come.
