Safety Tip of The Month
According to the Department for Transport, speeding is one of the main reasons for fatal road accidents. When you are driving, a few mph can mean the difference between life and death. Speed limits were created for your own safety. It is important that you consider your environment, as the given speed limit might be the absolute maximum, but it doesn’t mean it is safe to drive as fast as the limit in all conditions.
Introducing Kevin Docherty – This Month’s Winner
We are thrilled to introduce Kevin Docherty, our 7th Elite Drivers Club monthly winner. Kevin was recently presented with his £1000 prize and brand-new van by Kelly Fleet’s Driving Risk Manager, Andrew Dean.
Kevin joined Kelly Group in February 2021 and his safe driving behaviour was quickly rewarded with Elite Driver status.
Kevin Docherty Said:
“I started working 7 months ago as a copper engineer. Every day is a new day and I have been enjoying this job a lot especially the driving, because of my location I get to drive a lot by the seaside and countryside. I drive circa 2000 miles a week. Being recognised as an Elite Driver is awesome. Receiving the prize will hopefully inspire my colleagues around me to aim to become Elite Drivers as well. It only takes driving sensible and sticking to speed limits. To get a new van and receive this prize means a lot to me – it’s been fantastic and I am really happy. “
Andrew Dean Said:
“I met Kevin on his Induction Course when he joined Kelly Group in February. Since then, his driving has been safe and consistent regardless of any challenges he faced. I love his enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the company and safe driving. It’s been a pleasure to present him with his new van and cheque and show him that his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. He is a great addition to the Kelly Group workforce. Well done Kevin you deserve this! “
