You wore it pink and raised money. Now you’re helping make life-changing breast cancer research and support happen.
Kelly Group was delighted to participate in this year’s Wear It Pink Day supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month for Breast Cancer Now. On Friday, 20th October 2023, our nationwide workforce came together to fundraise founds by executing various bakes sales across the country, while wearing pink at our offices to raise awareness for this important cause.
Breast Cancer Now is a wonderful charity who hosts the annual Wear It Pink Day. They support thousands of people affected by breast cancer every year. They’ve invested over £268 million in world-class breast cancer research and they’re here to make sure, that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will live and live well. The charity has spearheaded life-saving research breakthroughs for over 50 years, ensuring more people are surviving breast cancer than ever before. With the help of generous donations, the charity distributed over 1 million leaflets to raise awareness of symptoms and support available, founds also supported 200 scientific discoveries and helped 8,388 people through their telephone help line.
We are incredibly proud of our workforce who fundraised through bake sales hosted across multiple locations. A big shout out to Laura Elliot, Amy Lee, Molly Callow, Holly Fox, Tom Cain, Charlotte Spicer, Carol O’Shea, Amy Canavan, Elle Corcoran, Eric Bakker, Neil Vise and Kinga Vagany for organising their local fundraising bake sales and a huge thank you to everyone for their generous donations. Collectively the Group raised £818 towards this wonderful cause.
Kelly Group is looking forward to supporting charitable events in the future, and raising awareness of issues that might have an impact on our workforce, their loved ones and the local communities we operate in.
