The Elite Drivers Club is a driver safety initiative developed by the group’s award-winning transport division to encourage and increase our driver’s and others safety on the road. Six months into the launch of Kelly Group’s Elite Drivers Club, we have seen some fantastic results and 602 drivers became Elite Drivers.
Throughout our research, we found that drivers with safety scores of 99-100 are 46% less likely to be involved in a road accident. On a daily basis, the Kelly Group has over 2500 vans on the road nationwide and it is a top priority to ensure the safety of our drivers and other vehicles on the road.
Our national team of driving assessors are responsible for ensuring everyone has the opportunity to become an Elite Driver, which reflects on our current club members.
How does the Elite Drivers Club benefit our Drivers?
There are four milestones each driver can achieve if they remain a club member continuously:
- After the successful completion of the first three months, each member will receive an Elite Drivers Club bag filled with carefully selected gifts including a branded jacket, cool bag, thermo mug, notepad, and pen
- Four months of being an Elite Driver; club members will be the first to be allocated the newest fleet vehicles when they are available
- After five months of membership, Elite Drivers gets the privilege of no excess fee if they are involved in a traffic incident
- Every six months we will reward our Elite Drivers with the “Top Driver” recognition award
As an extra initiative each month, all Elite Drivers Club members are entered into a randomly selected draw, giving them the chance to win prize of £1000.

Sean joined the Kelly Group as a Service Delivery Team member 10 months ago.
“Being in my early 20s I was really surprised to receive the club membership. Young drivers like me usually don’t get recognised so early into their careers and it made me respect safe driving even more.”

Being recruited only 7 months ago, Shaun is driving an impressive 3500 miles without any incidents on a weekly basis.

We asked the team of Elite Drivers to give tips for their colleagues on how they can become a member of the Elite Drivers Club too.
Their top tips are:
- Drive as if you have your family in the van because you are surrounded by other families driving on the road
- Drive sensibly, do not speed because you are late for an appointment. If you plan your route in the morning before departure you can avoid being late
- Stay cautious even on a long and busy day because you never know what comes around the corner
- Do not get annoyed on the road and respect other drivers
- Resist the temptation to speed when the roads are empty
