What we do
We’ve a highly-trained workforce of circa 3500, 40 + national operational centres, 4 training hubs and a fleet of over 2500 vehicles.
Providing intelligent electric vehicle charging solutions, utilising a national team of in-house electricians
The Elite Drivers Club is a driver safety initiative developed by the group’s award-winning transport division to encourage and increase our driver’s and others safety on the road. Six months into the launch of Kelly Group’s Elite Drivers Club, we have seen some fantastic results and 602 drivers became Elite Drivers.
Throughout our research, we found that drivers with safety scores of 99-100 are 46% less likely to be involved in a road accident. On a daily basis, the Kelly Group has over 2500 vans on the road nationwide and it is a top priority to ensure the safety of our drivers and other vehicles on the road.
Our national team of driving assessors are responsible for ensuring everyone has the opportunity to become an Elite Driver, which reflects on our current club members.
How does the Elite Drivers Club benefit our Drivers?
There are four milestones each driver can achieve if they remain a club member continuously:
As an extra initiative each month, all Elite Drivers Club members are entered into a randomly selected draw, giving them the chance to win prize of £1000.
Meet the Drivers
We are proud to introduce a selection of our Elite Drivers Club members.
Sean joined the Kelly Group as a Service Delivery Team member 10 months ago.
“Being in my early 20s I was really surprised to receive the club membership. Young drivers like me usually don’t get recognised so early into their careers and it made me respect safe driving even more.”
Marcin has been part of the Kelly Fleet division as a Fibre Splicer for over 16 years now.
“I was very surprised when my name was announced. Being an Elite Driver for 5 months comes with the privilege of not having to pay excess in case of an accident which creates a stress-free working environment when having lots of jobs on a busy day.”
Being recruited only 7 months ago, Shaun is driving an impressive 3500 miles without any incidents on a weekly basis.
“I have been driving vans for over 20 years for different companies and I was never recognised for doing something good and only ever been paid attention to if something went wrong during a job. When I received my gift bag filled with the Elite Drivers Club jacket, I was speechless. I had to post it on my social media just to say how inspiring it feels to be recognised for doing well.”
As a Telecoms Engineer on our BT contracts, Daniel is driving our vans safely since 2006.
“The Elite Drivers Club is a great scheme launched by the Kelly Group. Being a member has reflected on my driving behaviour when I am driving my own car. It made me a better driver.”
David is an essential part of the business from the very beginning who drives circa 2000 miles a week.
“I absolutely believe this scheme will inspire my colleagues to be more cautious on the road. I had a discussion with fellow employees, and we all agreed that this gives us a goal to work towards and allows us to understand how we can be safer on the road.”
We asked the team of Elite Drivers to give tips for their colleagues on how they can become a member of the Elite Drivers Club too.
Their top tips are:
Poonam Sejpal - Group Risk / Claims Manager said:
“We are pleased to advise that we have seen a steady increase of drivers reaching the Elite Drivers Club since the launch in Dec 2020. Our drivers have embraced challenging their own driving behaviour to achieve Elite status. Driver safety is paramount to us in ensuring full support and encouragement to all our drivers during their working day. We have gifted 5 Elite drivers with the £1000 reward each and a further winner to be announced shortly for the 6-month reward. We continue to promote safer driving for all our drivers ensuring the roads are a safer place.”
Kelly Group hopes that fellow drivers within the group will take inspiration from their colleagues and strive to achieve Elite Drivers status. We are looking forward to the results!
